No creature shaped the Northern diet like the salmon. It was smoked, dried, salted - and fresh from the fjord, simply cooked over the fire. Our version from Viking Feast pairs it with the two great flavours of the Viking kitchen: honey and mustard. On the table in 30 minutes.

  • Salt and black pepper

Instructions

  1. Season the salmon fillet with salt and black pepper.

Fun fact: Salmon was so valuable that in Iceland it even served as a means of payment. Dried fish accompanied the Vikings on every long sea voyage.
